Juvenile Support


The Superior Court Juvenile Division ("Juvenile Court") has jurisdiction over many proceedings concerning the welfare of children and family relationships.  These include delinquency, incorrigibility, diversion, dependency, emancipation, in-home intervention, extended foster care, Title 8 guardianship, termination of parental rights, and adoption matters.

Additionally, in Pima County, Rule 11/Title 36 adult mental health cases are managed at the Juvenile Court.

The Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court in the Juvenile Court consists of courtroom clerks, who provide direct courtroom support, and support staff, who are responsible for accepting, indexing, and imaging filings and accepting payments and providing support to the court, legal community, and the public.

Yes, a petition for an order of protection or injunction against harassment or injunction against workplace harassment can be filed with the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court at Juvenile Court regardless of whether any juveniles (minors) are involved.

Any petition for an order of protection sought against a person who is less than twelve (12) years of age, the petition must be filed in the Juvenile Court.

Any petition for an order of protection in which the defendant and the plaintiff are both parties to an open dependency case must be filed in the Juvenile Court.
