Property bonds, the pledging of real property for the release of a defendant from jail, must be approved by a Superior Court judge. Requirements include:

  • The property being pledged must be located in Pima County.

  • A current appraisal, preliminary title report, mortgage statement, and completed appearance bond form, which is available as a download or can be picked-up in the criminal unit of the Clerk of the Superior Court's office, 110 W. Congress, Room 152, Tucson, Arizona 85701. The completed packet, with all supporting documents, must be submitted to the assigned judge. On approval, Clerk of the Court personnel will verify all recording fees. Once these fees are remitted, the clerk will process the release of the defendant from jail.

After conviction of any Superior Court undesignated or felony offense, the Criminal Unit completes and sends a final disposition report to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the information is entered in the permanent criminal history. Any questions regarding the information contained on a criminal history report should be directed to the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
